Thanks, K-9! Maybe you can get in touch with Regina (JuneBug) (0532) 698-6256 or
What's onTV (0530) 201-7768 and hook up with them. Doormat is the AGM so if you
have any questions get in touch with him at (0533) 426-1050 or at his office at
Fred Roissetter (212)334-6506.

As much as I would love to help hare the next run, I don't have a chariot, and I
won't be able to hare the run after that, because I will be traveling in Jordan
from July 20-29. By the way, if anyone has a contact or helpful information
about traveling in Jordan, please let me know.
Have a great week and I hope to see you all at the next run!

Hey Hashers!

Heard at least 13 Hashers had a good time camping in Saros last weekend! In
fact, they had such a good time that several Hashers are already thinking about
planning the next camping trip...which should give Doormat plently of time to
get there - if he leaves NOW!!!
What'sonTV has agreed to be the Hare for next Sunday's Run #1207 BUT...he needs
help! He doesn't have a car and will need another Hare (preferably with a
chariot) to help him with the beer, softies, etc. NEED SOMEONE TO STEP UP!! Who
is it going to be?!
Also, we need Hares to set the Run after that, #1208, on July 20th. I remember
several Hashers saying that they wanted to set Runs: LostCall, Kerime, JuneBug,
and GhostBuster among others. Whoever signs up first gets the glory!
TightEnd & I are going to visit my family in The States from July 3rd to July
22nd and we will need the support of all Hashers to do their part and give AGM

Waiting to hear from you!

I completed the Race for Life in Salisbury (which is only one of the racesd that
are held all over Britain for Cancer Research). There were 2800 participants,
and it is only open to women. I did the 5k in the less than impressive time of 1
hour, but that is only 2 weeks after my last chemotherapy session, so I wasn't
at my best. I would send some pictures, but my mothers computer is powered by

Sorry guys!

I really wanted to come, too, but there's some kind of wedding obligation
just couldn't get out of. However, if ANYONE wants to take a roadtrip early
Sunday morning and see if our camping Hashers have turned into the cast of Lost,
Lord of the Flies, The Beach AND Survivor all rolled into one then let me know!
Have a great time (bring lots of sunscreen!) & On on!

Last Sunday we banded together for a good gathering.

There were about 15 hashers at the meeting point, Metro Cafe but there was only
one chariot. It was over 30C and that big count surprised me.

We (GodFarter, GooseHumper, BitchKong and Ismail) followed the directions and
met others. Some complained about directions but I think they were good enough
to find the venue.

Everybody was there by 2:30 pm and we started the Run after the circle.

Route was good but a little bit simple for K9. View at beer stop hill was
beautiful so we dallied with semi-cool beers and sporting equipment.

The Run took approximately two hours and when finished forest guards didn't let
us light the barbeque. Our attorney, Kerime tried to speak but it didn't do any
good, and usually reserved Sedat got in the park ranger's faces, demanding to
see their boss! When the city police arrived and nicely told us we weren't
allowed to be drinking beer in the park our rescuer, Nothing Yet, invited us to
use the bbq area at her site. We dumped the burning charcoal, gathered up all
Hash evidence and loaded the entire Hash into cars and taxis! After many beers
we finally we managed to hold our Circle and enjoy the bbq hamburgers, sausages
& chicken. Special thanks for JV's potato salad and home made foods.

NothingYet tried her hand at being the RA and for her first time, did a great
job! Two Hashers were bestowed with Hash names: welcome JuneBug & SludgeHammer!
TightEnd was presented with her 100th Run mug and Tit4Tat was sadly given her
Leaver's mug, as she will soon be moving on to lovely, pastoral Beirut, Lebanon
(where she'll really have to run fast!)

I enjoyed the whole day, I think you did too!

OnOn,

Goose Humper (yours scribers)

Your Majesty,

If you were planning to drive to Saros then you will pass only 15 minutes
drive from the Greek border at Ipsala.

When you get to Kesan, instead of turning left to Gelibolu, go straight on
to Ipsala. Pass the border, do a circuit of the customs building and come
back. I've done it several times.

Iyi yolculuklar.

all might know too well yourselves......::)))
We*ll make the next one!!!

Hello Hashers,

I want to thank each one of you for your contribution
to help me and Torbacik in a really tough time. We do
appreciate very much your thoughtfulness, your
generosity, your friendship and your kindness.
We are happy to have you all as friends.

Hopefully we will have a result on our DNA Test in a
couple of weeks and we will have the toughest part
left behind us.

Thank you again for being there and showing us that we
are not alone.

  Well, well, well...

Wasn't that a great run? Don't we all want our every run to be as joyful, as
rainy, as such a typical 'K-9 run' as run#1205 was?

I know we all do!!! First of all i want to thank the hares K9 +
Lost&Hangover + GiveIn

The run started traditionally late , i mean i knew for sure that it will
start late when JV called me at 10 to 1 pm and asked to be at the meeting
point to pick up people . It sounded like as if he was still in bed
recovering from the night before or the morning (we cannot be sure, we have
to ask Tight End). At the meeting point there were like 10 of us and only
one car as usual. But as always the magical, ever cheerful LostCall arrived
with her car and took 6 of the hashers so that rest of us could drive really
comfortably till the run side. Although nobody mentioned it at the run side,
but i got the sense from the faces of the people as if all
of them (okey most of them except the hares) were saying ' why the hell did
i got up this rainy sunday and came to run ?'. English Patient
was working on plans about how to escape without running in the rain with
using the excuse that he was invited to the Speech Bubbles party . Bag Lady
looked really concerned when she saw how committed the hares were despite
the rain (Lost&Hangover and Quinn Latifa brought their hash kid daughters ,
one which
was having fewer of 39 degrees and still looked enjoying herself). Finally
GM arrived and the circle started as usual with him proving how good he was
at telling jokes. Now at this point i know some of you are asking 'why so
much background about the before run? come on scribe the run!' Well because
i didn't run. Heyyy, it was raining and it was a K9 run. So i decided to
stay behind and guard the beers (somebody has to do it, right?) Well let me
tell you, the beer (s) were cold and very tasty. The only thing missing was
that K9 didnt start the barbeque before the run but then again i did
survive. So finally K9 and Paul came back after 1 hour which makes Paul the
first commer.
Because of the rain all of the marks were gone and beause it was K9 run
everybody got really hungry. After a short circle , some of the hashers had
to leave because they were part of the speech bubles and they did so great a
week ago at the show. So here i should take a moment and give them a
standing ovation because of their performance. Yesss , guys you know who you
are.. so don't be shy just come out here. you were really great at the show
;
our present GM JV, English Patient ,Tight End ,ans Godfarter... you all made
us proud out
there. And also some of other hashers participated greatly at the show , but
i will not mention their names because they were only backstage :-)...

So at the end of another run i guess we proved once again we are a bunch of
drinkers

with a running problem. And heyyy, don't forget it is not how many beers you
drank that counts,

it's how many runs you have run either before or after you were drunk.

Swing Low hashers..
Take it easy

Hey Hashers!

I'm having a Poker Night at my house tonight, Friday, at 7:00pm. I KNOW
there's a big match on tonight - I planned this evening weeks ago, never
expecting Turkey to make it this far! (I know, I know!) - and need a few more
players interested in trying to win some money at Texas Hold 'Em - have 6 so
far. I WILL have the match on TV! Call me if you're interested in playing. It'll
be a 100ytl buy-in, with one more chance for a 25ytl buy-in at a set time, so we
don't wind up playing all night. Beer, chips, pizza and nice people PLUS the top
three players will finish in the money.
     Interested? Call me!

Hey Hashers!

wait right here, make sure no wild animals erase the marks!"), and agreat day
to have our first BBQ of the summer! Should be a Family-Friendly Run so bring
picnic blankets, games, sunscreen and whatever else you can think of to make
this a fun Hash day! Perfect Run to invite Newcomers to, too!
TightEnd & I will be at the MeetingPoint (Metro Cafe, 4.Levent) at 1:00 with

Dear Friends,

First, I apologize for the confusion some of you have experienced regarding the
invitation to join our group. It's my first attempt to do this kind of thing, so
I'm experiencing some of the same confusion.

The reason Kay and I have started the group is to make it faster and more
efficient to send our letters to you. We've set this up this group to be
restricted to only those names in our personal contact lists. By joining the
group you won't receive unsolicited emails except from Kay and I. Nor will other
members of the group be able to access your email address or profile
information.

Kay and I looked at the invitation that went out to all of you and realized that
the steps you need to take to join aren't clear nor intuitive. So here's one
approach that seemed to work:

When you open the membership invitation email, click on the link in the second
bullet (To learn more ...). This takes you to a page that says you need a
profile to participate. All Kay did was keep the name the system had assigned
her, which is based on her email (kayfarbernyc). She didn't add any other
information, and simply kept clicking "continue" until she got to the home page
I created. At this point, it's simply a photo of the two of us. As far as we
know, this means you're in.

We're continuing to investigate how to use this ... it's a real learning curve
for us. If you have any suggestions about how we can enhance our communications
using this Yahoo Group, please let us know.

Thank you to those of you who have already navigated through the process. We
hope the rest of you choose to join, as we'll have more to say about our lives
in Turkey and our ongoing travels. The adventures continue!
