Welcome to IDPA at Palmetto Gun Club!

International Defensive Pistol Association matches are held September through June on the third Saturday of each month at the Palmetto Gun Club (see Links for maps to the range). The typical match consists of five courses of fire totaling 60 - 70 rounds. Match courses of fire, match results, and other information are posted in the ‘Files’ section to the left. The Match Director is Bobby Albert (875-1550 / bobbya13@hotmail.com).

All shooters new to IDPA are welcome, but must successfully complete an Introduction to IDPA class before shooting their first IDPA match at PGC. More information, including exemptions, is posted in the ‘Files’ section (New Shooters folder). To sign up for a class, contact Karl Hofen at (khofen@bellsouth.net).

You may shoot your first match without being a member of IDPA, but IDPA rules require membership in IDPA thereafter in order to participate in future matches. Proof of IDPA membership will be required at registration.

The next match is on 19 May 2012. Registration and squad sign up starts at 9:15 a.m. and ends at 9:45 a.m. If you arrive after 9:45 you will not be allowed to register. The match begins at 10:00 a.m. Please have the correct change or pay by check. An inclement weather policy is posted in the Files.

Match fees are as follows: $15 for pre-match registration and $20 for registration on the day of the match. Pre-match registration is announced on the message board one week prior to the match. Match registration will be limited to the first 70 competitors to register. Match results will be posted as soon as they are available.

The June 2012 match will be our traditional "Fast 30 Rounds Summer Match." This match is five stages of 6 rounds each (expect challenging shots). There are no matches in July and August. The 2012-2013 shooting season will resume in September. A classifier will be held in November.
