Masters Tournament in NJ   Message List

This sunday May 27th the JSVBA is conducting the first of 3 masters
tournaments for 2001. (We are considering adding a 4th event for 50 and over
if we have enough interest develop)

This event will be for teams of 40 and over Men, or Women 33 and Over or a
combination of the 2.

Masters Tournaments -- May 27, July 8, September 9

Feel like you can't keep up with the youngsters?

40+ May 27 in Seaside Heights
35+ July 8 in Long Branch $300 Cash Prize
45+ September 9 in Pt. Pleasant

This is your chance to play against people your own age.

No more excuses about how if you were only 10 (20?, 30?, 40?) years younger
those young-uns wouldn't stand a chance.

You will notice that the 35 and over event has a Cash Prize. Were you a good
player that just got too old? We are hoping to see some of the "OLD" Names
out here for that one. You know who you are!

Women are welcome to play in these events and are given a 7 year handicap.
That means a 28 year old woman can play in the 35+, a 38 year old in the 45+,
and a 33 year old in the 40+ events. This year the teams can be comprised of
2 men, 2 women, or 1 man and 1 woman.

For those of you that haven't played one of these events, they are very
competitive when appropriate and bring out the best and worst in
sportsmanship in the players. We hope to see many of the JSVBA Old-Timers on
the beach! (including Shultz)
