My big concern (as someone mentioned earlier) is that A. Jones agent is
Scott Boras. Atlanta turned down talks with A. Jones according to an article I
read, because Boras submitted a preliminary starting price that was apparently
around 20 million or more a year for Andruw Jones and the Braves. For a
batter who has struggled as much as A. Jones did this year for the Braves that
seems like a high price. Of course, if might be worth the price just to bring
Chipper Jones here. He was healthy most of this last season and almost won
the NL Batting Title. He and Lee would be incredibly formidable in any
lineup!
