Playoff Predictions

Anyone have any playoff predictions?

I am going to take a chance and make mine:

Rockies vs. Phillies: First, I predict that with A) Two historically hitter
friendly parks and coupled with the fact that B) The only top 25 fantasy
pitcher on either team is Hamels who is just recently off the DL, this series
will
be one of the highest scoring five game series in baseball history. I am
also going to go out on a limb and pick the Rockies to win in 5 just because
their comback of winning the last 14 of 15 games reminds me of the 2004 Astros
comeback.

Cubs vs. Diamondbacks: Since I can't cheer for the Cubs, I am going to have
to side with the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks were struggling the last few
series but the Cubs have been as well. With both teams struggling and the
Cubs history of choking, I am voting Diamondbacks in 4.

Rockies vs. Diamondbacks: If this series occurs I will again pick the
Rockies because in the last 3 games, the Rockies clobbered the Diamondbacks in
two
of them. Rockies in 6.

AL:

Cleveland vs. New York: New York's line-up may be more potent with A-Rod but
their starters are aging and their bullpen has been suspect. I think
Cleveland's lineup will take advantage of that and their pitching will be strong
enough to win the day. Cleveland in 4.

Angels vs. Boston: Ouch! This is a tough one to call because both teams have
strong starting rotations, good bullpens, and formidable lineups. The Red
Sox have struggled in September, though and unless they get themselves back
into the level of play that they demonstrated in the first half of the season, I
think the Angels can win. Angels in 5.

Angels vs Cleveland: I will call Cleveland on this one because I think that
the Red Sox-Angels series will be tough and will probably wear down the
pitching and resources of whichever team wins it. Therefore, I think that if
the
seven game series goes long the advantage will go to Cleveland. Cleveland in
7.

My picks will probably turn out wrong so if someone else wants to make their
picks or to disagree with my picks, go for it!

I agree, if pitching were all there were to it we'd have it sewn up. I'm praying for hits. Ken Hamilton <jlhkih@...> wrote:NL: Astros over Braves ...
