I received this e-mail from Phil Lowry asking for help on researching a 1934 game.  He also sent it to the Houston chapter.  In the unlikely event that anyone can help, please respond to him.

Bill,

Has everyone in your chapter received their copy of Green Cathedrals? I hope
you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

On a related topic, could you please distribute this research request on the
27-inning long Buff Stadium game in August of 1934 to all of your members
attending the Rogers Hornsby Chapter SABR meeting this Tuesday 6 PM at Schotz
Garden, and also in your chapter's E-Mail List and Newsletter for those not
attending? Thank you very much.

Can anyone find any account whatsoever of this marathon baseball game in any
Austin or Newgulf or Houston or African-American community newspaper in
August of 1934?

27 innings – at Buff Stadium, Houston, Texas – unknown date in August of
1934 – Negro Texas-Oklahoma League - Austin Black Senators 3 Newgulf Black Buffs
2.

UNKNOWN date, time of game, attendance, start and finish times

Thank you very much. I really appreciate your assistance.

Phil Lowry
