Tino Article

Great article, Mel.
Just want to add a couple of things: First, not all Yankee fans were
excited about Giambi signing. Lots of us never accepted him. And,
especially after his first year, more and more fans accepted the fact
that his signing was a big mistake. I have no doubt that the Yankees
(read Steinbrenner) made a big mistake and realized it when it was too
late. I think Tino's being back as part of the management is great. He
seems so happy there.
Finally, regarding Giambi's recent decent defense improvement: I
remember a news article in 2005 where he credited Tino with
helping him so much. Again, we see the leadership and team character
Tino has.
