Those fans who stay up late were rewarded with a miraculous finish in Los
Angeles tonight.

Dallas led LA 4-0 with just over seven minutes to play before the Kings
responded with the fastest five goals in their history (5 in 5:07)

LAK:Brown, D. (12:46 in 3rd), Thornton, S. (14:01 in 3rd), Frolov, A. (15:35 in
3rd), Kopitar, A. (15:59 in 3rd), Nagy, L. (17:53 in 3rd)


Not to be outdone, Mike Modano tied the game with 1:17 to play before Los
Angeles won it in overtime on a second goal by Kopitar.

The final score matched the original "Miracle on Manchester", 6-5 in OT. For

Forever1940 is the nom de plume of FSN statistician Eric Hornick. Eric, who has
worked the Stanley Cup Finals four times, celebrated his 25th anniversary as the
statistician on Islander home telecasts on January 21, 2007. Often referred to
on-air as an actuary, he is one of 3,044 Fellows of the Casualty Actuarial
Society and is the President of the Casualty Actuaries of Greater NY. You can
find him in the "Best Seat in the House", about six feet to Howie and Billy's
