Re: Champions Hockey League IIHF

Yep Leslie that is all true.for anybody who has doubts about brining back
the purloined Canadian teams.they ought to consider that MP's are now
getting involved in a debate over Shane Doan being worthy of being World
Tournament Team Canada captain! There are allegations about Doan making
Anti Francophone remarks.it was brought up in the House of Commons on Monday
by opposition leaders..Now can ANYBODY even come CLOSE to imaging the
Republicans bringing up a hockey captain in Congress? Can we see the other
side..."Dems challenge Bush over hockey captaincy issue"? For that matter
can we see such a topic in any US Chamber of Commerce even?

Crazy? Maybe and maybe not, after all there is a greater issue here of
intolerance which Doan has incidentally NOT been found guilt by the NHL of.
But what it DOES show is PASSION.it also shows the NHL's brainpower.yep we
have one city who's highest politicians will take hockey to a national
stager and another where even patrons in the bars see it too insignificant
to debate.so where do they look at expansion? "Fill us up Joe and let's talk
some jai alai or pro wrestling!" Now THERE is BUSINESS saavy! Go where your
customers aren't and hope that some may mutate into hockey fans form the
effects of the atomic test site! :-)
