I'm just asking for a little help.

Could somebody help me with this issue? I can't run the APBA with Vista. Is there any patch existing? Is there any way I can run APBA on Vista.

Thanks for your help!!

Here are two articles about using APBA hockey on vista (same info applies to Win 7).  The utility will not work with the latest version of DOSBox..they made some changes that broke the utility, but I am working on a replacement.  If you need any help you can email me at admin@...

APBA Hockey Fans,

I really need some help from one of the many good programming guys.

As most of you know I am making a season disk for every year, please download
and look at the attached file, so you can see my problem within the file.

I was trying to use Windows movie maker for a DisneyWorld movie, it won't work,
downloaded some other movie programs from a friend and finally gave up.

One of the movie programs is trying to open files in APBA, I don't know why or
how to change it?

I uninstalled the programs that I recently added, but the files are still
looking like a CD?

Thanks Anthony Blanda

If you have Windows 7 Professional, you can download a free program from Microsoft. (Virtual PC and XP Mode)  This will essentially allow your computer to have two operating systems and partition the hard drive.   Windows  7 will be the default and you can switch to XP Mode when you run Virtual PC.  Info is available at the Microsoft website.  It is only available for Windows 7 Pro.

Dont have it yet, but I have all his other games. The one issue I have with the
DK games is with the flow of the game. The basketball game is very unorthodox
and doesnt really have the feel of basketball. So, hopefully the hockey will
capture it the way APBA does.

Action PC Hockey is what APBA Hockey could have become if they kept updating their game years ago.

I highly recommend Action PC Hockey!  If you don't buy it, you'll be missing out!

Were you a beta tester, or did you actually get your copy of the game? Many seem to have it on order, but don't have it yet. I'd be interested in hearing what's better in Action PC Hockey versus APBA, other than the obvious "written for windows" and "has shootouts" comments. The flow of gameplay, ability to run leagues, accuracy, and depth of player ratings are items of great interest to the people on this list that still use the APBA game heavily. Please, comment further if you can......

Action PC Hockey is what APBA Hockey could have become if they kept updating their game years ago.

I highly recommend Action PC Hockey!  If you don't buy it, you'll be missing out!

Sure, I'd be happy to.
I bought the game and set it up last night, and I coached a game.
I'll elaborate more later this evening, I have to run out.  I'm running late.  Sorry.

Just bought it and downloaded it. Only played a period so jury is still out.
However, from the one period I played, I didnt really get a good feeling. What
I feared about not having the flow of the game is what I experienced. But, I
dont want to prejudice anyone against the game based on my one period of play.
In the next day or so I'll play more and let you all know.

Thanks...appreciate it. I don't think one review based on a couple games played will bias the whole community. I'll need to hear at least 10 reviews, and probably play the game myself, before I can make a judgement. But your input will be appreciated, and we'll see if we can get a consensus on this thing.

I have Action PC Hockey and I played an online game last night with a friend of mine.  He coached the Blackhawks and I coached the Penguins, this year's teams.  I attached a .txt file with the game's boxscore.

The game has a great flow to it with lot's of coaching options.  To see screen shots check out their website:

I'll post more comments soon.

is there a way to play it like we do in APBA....
computer coach against computer coach ?

I like the box score...also noticed that the
blocked shots is more realistic than APBA...

In the box scores it shows the scoring by
LINES...are the two d-men assigned to say
line two always matched up with their line 2
forwards ?
