Hi I have seen at last year's Classic car show at the NEC QI bulbs for sale
that fit the old lucas 700 they have the same base and should be cheaper.
What I did many years ago when you could not get QH for Lucas lamps was to
remove the glass from a scrap normal bulb and solder a H4 QH bulb on to the
base - the fillament distance seem to be about the same and it was much much
better than the normal 45 watt glow worm.
