Re: [Historic Rallying] Halda metal case Twin Master in slightly scrappy condition on ebay

Gus, I scrolled through every photo on the Tulpen site. Lots of pretty
people in pretty sweaters with their grandchildren and flower arangements.
Nice. But not a helmet in site.

I'm speaking of Performance Rally. Balls out, hammer down, full speed ahead,
9.9-to-10-10ths rallying with antique cars.

I wasn't speaking of "Tour" brie and chardonnay rallies, that ain't my bag,
baby.

Norm

Here is Europe, if you drive historic rallies, you are often not allowed
to use modern distance meters like Brantz. So everybody is falling back
mainly on Halda's. And of course the older the better. Rather the
aluminium case than plastic. It's sort of a status as well.

There are more `of us' as you think, the figures you named are a
fraction. Even here in Holland there are about a 800 -1000 who do rally
driving......

Here a famous one, http://www.tulpenrallye.nl/
<http://www.tulpenrallye.nl/> over 4 countries in six days, 2400km
