My memory of 1972 was that the Catchcoma Road was a cluster of controls.
The fist were 4 miles apart, the second 3, third 2 and the fourth 1. Time in
was time out and you had to stop at the controls to get stickers for your
route book. Did I even breathe? People would cut in front of you as you were
pulling out of controls. Some Canadian navigators had tire studs in their
boots to save seconds to and from the controls. Ah, them was the days!
The next tough section was Lasswade Road. Another memory.
