Hello all,
Anyone who is likely to be in Scotland in the Autumn with a classic
car may be interested in the following event as a contrast to the big
budget, high cost events that are put on by professional organisers.
(I mean professional in that they earn their living from organising
events, not that their events are necessarily well organised)
regards, Bob
"La Crofterra Pandemonia"
With the promise of fantastic roads, fabulous scenery, terrific
company and superb weather (maybe). Join us on the Crofterra
Pandemonia, a non-competitive tour run on the lines of the popular La
Carrera Caledonia.
The event will start in Inverness on Saturday the 10th of September
with an overnight halt in Portree, Isle of Skye, finishing back in
Inverness on Sunday the 11th.
On this 2-day tour you will drive some of the remotest roads in the
Highlands taking you through breathtaking scenery. There are no time
schedules to follow, so you can travel the route at your own pace.
The Crofterra is open to Classic and Historic cars, Kit cars and cars
of a sporting nature. The entry fee of £60 includes the presentation
buffet at Fairways Leisure, Inverness on the Sunday evening. It does
not include accommodation or other meals on the tour. Event souvenirs
will be awarded to all entrants.
Lists of accommodation in Inverness and Portree will be available on
request.
