It was like this: Instruction read 45-degree right. What it didn't say
was rough pavement just before (braking zone) and downhill. We came in a
little too fast, he lifted then braked just a little too hard. It was a
Porsche; the rear end came around.
We both forgot that the face camera was in the car until the short video of
highlights shown at the awards banquet.
What was really upsetting was that we were one of the few teams with zero
penalty points up 'til then.
We did, however, get back into the event, missing only that stage and one
other. Rules give max points for a missed stage, but allow for continued
participation.
BTW, I am available for TN '04. Scott has elected to go with a "celebrity"
co-driver this year. My airfare is already arranged. Want to win? Get in
touch with me.
