Targa Newfoundland on UK tv   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1568 of 1912 |
The Targa Newfoundland was on Sky Sports over the weekend (World
Motor Sport). They always repeat everything, so it would be worth
watching out. Good feature on what looked to be a good event.
Shows in-car Tim Winkler navigating a Porsche (Tim: Your driver
REALLY should have caught that tail slide, you know....).

The guy in the classic Beemer who won overall was really going for
it in the closing shots! Also, the big US V8s (Mustangs etc)
sounded superb. Pity there were no classic Minis shown :(

<We came in a little too fast, he lifted then braked just a little too hard. It was a Porsche; the rear end came around.> But, from the quick clip I saw, it...

... Part of the problem was that Scott had been racing Honda Civics during the summer, so was used to correcting FWD errors. And given the road surface, I...

Actually the distance from 'Blighty' to Newfoundland is less than from many points in Canada [Vancouver BC to St John's is 6500 kms] Air travel from London is...
