RE: [HJ] high jump

Kristi,

I'm a bit confused by your explanation.  You say that she's gone from a 5 foot to a 5' 2" jumper to going nothing less than 5' 4" this year outdoors and then say that the picture is of a 5' 7" clearance.  Has she cleared 5' 7" this season or 5' 4"?  There's sort of a big difference between the two.

Either way, good for Kate as she has really struggled over the past couple of seasons with the coaching issues and everything else she's had to endure.  I'm thrilled to hear that she stuck with it and is having success.  She's probably enjoying herself a whole lot more too.

Great news!

I have not written anything in a long time, but thought I would share Kate's jumping success this year. She has gone from a 5 foot to 5 foot 2 jumper to going nothing less than 5'4 this year outdoors. This is a picture of her clearing 5'7.

She is limiting her jumping to competitions and working on weights and plyometrics etc. on off days. It is paying off! Enjoy
