I personally have the Asics Cyber High Jump shoe.. I've had it for two seasons now and i've found it to work great. It has a very hard backside (around the ankle) which I think provides great support. The shoe does run about a whole shoe size under. I usually wear an 11 1/2 in normal tennis shoes, but i have a 10 1/2 in these shoes. That's all that the smaller shoes size means, the shoes hasn't changed at all over the two seasons, just smaller than your regular shoe size... hope that helps
