Rules permit a maximum of 13 mm for the forefoot sole thickness; such
would, I assume, measure the net thickness of socks, insoles, shoe
sole materials and net set-off produced by spike anchors and any
design projections that lift the shoe off the apron.
Do the rules face the matter of toe-tip set-off; that is, say a
jumper with shoes does a "standing on toes" position and at that
moment measure the distance from the tip of the longest toe to the
apron surface. If that measure is say 1 mm for the net thickness of
the front of the shoe (not sole), then do the rules cover that
measure? Suppose that the distance is 30 mm when the jumper is in
the "standing on toes" position; do the rules cover this matter?
