Dear friends,
Younes El Aynaoui is seeded (19) and have a Bye in the First Round of
the Masters Series Tournament in Miami. He will play the winner of
the Match: Agustin Calleri (ARG) vs David Sanchez (ESP) in the Second
Round.
It's a little bet strange but true that Younes was also last year
seeded 19 in Miami had a Bye and lost in the second round to Agustin
Calleri (Arg)!!!!. Hope Younes will not think about a lot about that
and only try to concentrate on his game and take revenge over Calleri
if he will play him in the second round. Younes is leading 4 / 2
while Calleri won their only match on Hard there last year 7/5 6/1
and lost to the later champ Andre Agassi a round later. Calleri did
play good on Clay this season winning the Mexican Open 3 weeks ago.
While on Hard did make good results.
Younes is also leading 3 / 1 against David Sanchez (ESP).
Our Champ Hicham Arazi who have to defend 35 points of last year 3rd
round didn't survive the first round of qualification, lost to an
unknown Australian Peter Luczak (AUS) d. (8)Hicham Arazi (MAR) 6-0 3-
6 7-5.
Hicham did come back solid in the Match in the second set, after
losing the first set to zero, won it 6/3 and went in the third set
until 5/5 then he did lost his serve and the Aussi did serve for the
match at 6/5 winning it 7/5 and ending the hope of Hicham go far in
this big tournament. The Match was interrupted a lot of times cause
of Rain.
Hope Younes will do well this time in this tournament and try play
those Masters Series Tournaments like he do on the Grand Slams and
other ATP tournaments cause this 9 tournament do all count for the
ranking and if he don't make good results on them his ranking will
not progress. We can see that in last year results of Younes, Despite
that he won 3 ATP tournaments and was finalist in 2 others has ended
at number 22 while he was one of few who did won 3 or more
tournaments.
Salaam Alaykom,
Ali Yahia.
