El Aynaoui storms through
Younes El Anyaoui defeated last years' finalist Bohndan Ulirach from
Czech Republic with the impressive result 6-3, 6-3 at a sunny
centrecourt. The Moroccan is now ready for Friday's quarter finals
accompanied by Albert Portas and Augustin Calleri who also won their
matches.
El Anyaoui has won three ATP- tournaments this year. Only worlds'
number one Lleyton Hewitt beats that score. The Moroccan was
convincing when he beat Bohdan Ulihrach, normally dangerous when he
plays on a clay court but not a big threat today for an El Anyaoui in
perfect shape. In the quarter final Portas, Spain will challenge him
as he is another prominent clay-player who won Hamburg's Master Tour
last year and who won todays' match against Mariano Zabaleta.
Agustin Calleri from Argentina, was the third player to reaching the
quarter finals this Wednesday. He was up against Nicolas Coutelot
from France and won 6-2, 7-5.
