"One job he missed out on recently came up while he was attending a football
game
between bitter rivals West Virginia and Marshall University.

"I was sitting in a private box with the athletic director and he was telling me
that the
coach that quit there a year ago had a salary of $690,000 and was complaining
about it. I
said, 'Well I wish I was 50 years old because you could get me a little cheaper
than that.' "
