From WSAZ NewsChannel 3... A favorite son is returning to Marshall University to
coach
football. Phil Ratliff is leaving James Madison University to coach tight ends
at Marshall.
Ratliff was a standout player at Lawrence County High School in Louisa. He had a
stellar
career playing for Marshall. He then coached football at Spring Valley High
School before
leaving for James Madison just a couple of season ago. Now he's joining
Marshall's
coaching staff, replacing Shane Miles who recently stepped down.
