Rumor: May 12, 2005 - MU vs WVU Deal? I found a very interesting rumor on
HerdNation.com, posted by BooHerd99Grad... "The first deal will be a 2 fro 3
with 2 games
in Moganhole. Depending on who wins 2 of the 3 games,that team(Marshall) will
host a 2
for 3 on the following deal, after that the games will rotate from year to year.
So it will go
something like this if all goes well.
2006 @ wvu
2007@Marshall
2008@WVU
The university that wins 2 of those 3 will win the next 2 for 3, so when
Marshall wins.
2009@ Marshall
2010@wvu
2011@Marshall.
Then follwing the first 6 games the game will alternate between Huntington, and
Morganhole.
This will be the format, backed by Manchin, I think this is a pretty good deal
and should
probably run with it. I am also pretty pleased with the compromise and a chance
to get a 2
for 1 with wvu really makes the fist series really important. Well hope this
doesn't irritate
anyont too much because I'm 98% sure this is how things will happen(It is
already in the
works, and the deal will be done soon)."
