Rumor: February 22, 2005 -Marshall & the Big East. I've uploaded a PDF that was
sent to
me by an annonymous source. The PDF is the Big Easts July 2003 Minutes
pertaining to Big
East expansion. On page 5 near the bottom of the page it is duly noted that
Marshall was
considered as a candidate along with ECU, Memphis, Southern Miss, UAB and UCF.
As a
matter of fact WVU's Athletic Director actually askes the Big East schools to
support
Marshall as a member. Here's a sample of the text... "David Hardesty asks that
the group
support Marshall as an all-sport candidate. There is no other support among the
group."
