Opinion: September 13, 2004 - Another Close Game. A few comments on the OSU
game.
What a game. FIrst let me say, the Herd played good enough to win. I love
Pruett as much
as the next guy and I hate it when people second guess coaches, and I'm not
second
guessing, I just want to see how other herd faithful feel about a few things.
One, a
minute and a half left in the game, against the #8 team in the country with two
timeouts
left, and you dont try anything?? Nugent is the best kicket in the nation, you
have to at
least try for a first down. Two, the fake was not a bad call, however, why run
the kicker
up the middle??? My last comment is on the fans. I'm tired of the fans being
satisfied with
just making it a good game. Everyone complains about marshall not getting
respect.
Playing close games will get you that for a week or two, then its forgotten. I
was pissed
that the Herd lost, who cares if they played well, bottom line is they lost.
Well enough
ranting. Go herd all the way to Georgia for another upset bid! Looking for
another close
