Rumor: September 2, 2004 - UK & South Carolina to Join C-USA. I found this
rumor on
CUSABBS.com "Found out tonight from a very, very reliable source you could say.
Our
soccer conference in the CUSA would only be 6 teams and the SEC does not
sponsor
soccer. So Kentucky, South Carolina, and one other school are joining CUSA just
for
soccer to make a 9 team conference in that sport. This will be announced soon."
UK is
currently in the MAC for Soccer only. With Marshall and UK both leaving the MAC
that will
only leave 4 soccer playing schools in the MAC.
