Southern Miss athletics director Richard Giannini denied Saturday reports that
Conference
USA was about to extend an expansion invitation to Texas El Paso. During the
annual Black
and Gold spring football game, Giannini did say the conference was closing in on
a 12th
member, but no decision has been made."
