Ladies and Gentelmen...who the "Puck" is going to camp this year?
Now for one of my home made riddles...not intended to offend...just
entertain...why do hockey players prefer pucks to women...because you
can "slap" them around (hockey pucks) and they never talk back...
Mark, your back better...hope so. Hope you can make it to camp this
year.
I'll be there for year #6 of camp and and year #6 of ice hockey...so
watch out...LoL
Hey,
I'm new this year and wondering what to expect? Where do we stay?
What kind of bedding should I bring? What things should I bring
besides the obvious (hockey equipment, and some street clothes)?

This is a completely self contained camp with Dorm type rooms with bunk
beds, dinning room, gym, Ice Rink with dressing rooms, etc. Pretty much
anything
hockey wise you will need. They have ability to sharpen skates if needed
during camp. Great experience.
I am attaching my checklist (hope it comes through but if not send me an
e-mail at _Rolhock@..._ (mailto:Rolhock@...) with Heartland in subject
line and I will send it direct to you) some stuff on the list is just
reminder for me but mostly tells what I have found to be needed. They provide
the
room and bed, you provide sheets (sleeping bag if you prefer), pillow case,
towles and your personal stuff (shaving, toothbrush, etc). Weather can be
anywhere from hot to cold...usually nice though and I usually take shirts and
t-shirts with one or two pairs of long pants and warmer shirt just in case.
See you there...I will be the old guy (usually oldest or close to it at 61
now but 62 when camp takes place)

Steve, that's the worst joke I've heard since the third grade! But
it's great to hear from you as always.
I finally recovered from my ruptured disc last fall...played for a
few months and then re-injured it over the winter...finally recovered
again and resumed playing in the spring...and just last month hurt it
again. So right now I'm off the ice but hoping to be back in time
for camp next month.
I hope I can go this year because I miss it like crazy. One thing's
for sure, I need to get on the same back regimen as you because you
seem to have the secret formula!
Hope everyone's having a great summer so far,

Sounds like you are really having it bad...I do a lot of core training
(crunch/crunch) and spinning classes to keep everything in place.
Really hope you will be there also...we really have missed you.

Hey there Steve, and everyone else from coast to coast. My back's
doing okay -- good enough that I'm planning to make it to camp this
year anyway. Not sure I'll be able to do every session, but I'm
looking forward to it anyway!
Hope all is well that everyone's having a good spring.

Well, three weeks and two days to camp...I see there are two spots left as of
today, so if you are going but not yet registered, better get going.
Good news is Marc will be back this year but still have not heard from Julie so
would guess not this year...so no one to check me into the boards...LoL
Look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.
Well, now down to 3 or 4 days depending on when you are getting in...
I will be going in Sat. arrive at MN airport 3:45 pm...anyone arrivig about same
time or later that would like to give me a ride in? That way I can save
Heartland one to pick up. If so, drop me a not and we can coordinate.
Look forward to seeing everyone real soon...

I'm still upright so assuming I stay that way for four more days,
I'll see you then. :)
I'm coming back with "Big Apple" Al and three more NYC skaters.
Looking forward to a great week.
