I just heard the news of George passing away.
Jim, George and I (we dubbed ourselves the 3 Amigos) were already
planning on going to the camp in Fort Meyers in April.
I only new this great individual for one week but what a week it
was. George, Jim and I always had a great time joking around ribbing
on each other. Seeing George who was 20 plus years older than me,
skating out there with me, really was impressive.
One ribbing that we really got on George for was that he wore a pair
of Baby Blue silk socks under his gear and we all had a good laugh of
that.
We went Jim and I got back to San Antonio the following week, George
sent us each a pair of Baby Blue socks. I was on the road traveling
and my wife called stating some guy name George mail me a pair of
Baby Blue socks. I laughed my ass of when she told me.
That's how I will remember George. Always making me laugh.
The 3 of us laughed so much during that camp, if it was during
dinner, getting dressed or on the ice.
The 3 Amigos were always laughing and enjoying our time at this great
camp.
The 3 Amigos are now down to 2.
George, We will miss you greatly.
