I have a bit more info on the Nordic Workshop to be held at Fahnestock Oct
20.

First of all it'll be held at the Taconic Outdoor Education Center which
I've never been to but as I understand it you go west on Route 301 about 4
miles past the 301/Taconic intersection and follow signs to the Center
(it's south of route 301).

I also asked whether or not the workshop would be roller-ski specific,
thereby requiring participants to bring (and use) rollerskis. Here are two
replies, first from Paul Kuznia, who posted the original notice, and also
from Janice Sibilia, who I think will be conducting the workshop:

Not this one. It is geared for intermediate/advanced recreational
skier. If interest is strong in this effort, we have discussed the
possibly of a basic skill dryland skate activity in Nov. Any group clinics
using roller skis probably would be considered in June of 2002. At this
moment, we have planned a classic roller ski demo. Info will be provide on
equipment. The program goal is to use dryland drills to create an
understanding of and improve basic skills so folks can practice them on
snow. W/O understanding basic skills, roller skiis can create very bad
habits which hurt you on snow .

Hi Jim, Nice to hear from you. You will not need to bring your
rollerskis. This workshop will focus on specific dryland training and
techniques that can be accomplished without rollerskis as well as some
fitness ideas that participants can utilize. If you have any other
