I am organizing a cross country ski trip that will stay in a house in
Pittsford, VT. The trip is Feb 9th thru 12th. This is “close” to Mountain
Top Inn Touring Center in Chittenden, VT, which is a fun place to ski.

All of the information about the trip is attached below. Reading from the
bottom will give you a chronological sequence to the messages.

At this point there are two double beds and one bunk still available. Call
me NOW at 860-355-0034 if you are interested. First check in gets the space.

Hello everyone!

Here are the long awaited details. If you did not get my original email, it
is pasted to the bottom of this message - you can read from the bottom up.
The trip will be Feb. 9th thru 12th.
The house has nine bedrooms with beds as follows:
3 queen size beds (2 of these are already taken)
3 full size beds
2 bedrooms with 2 twin beds
1 with a bunk and a twin bed
there are 3 full bathrooms

Caveat: some of the rooms are nicer than others. Since I have not seen the
house, I cannot assign rooms by “niceness”. For the sake of my sanity,
everyone will pay the same. Obviously sleeping space is geared to couples or
at least very friendly people.
Cost will be $50 per person for lodging only for the weekend provided we
fill the house. The cost will rise proportionately with fewer people. XC
trail fees at Mountain Top will be $11 per day for a group of 10 or more
($14 per day otherwise). Killington/Pico is, of course, nearby and should
you choose to ski there, you are on your own for lift tickets.
It would be nice to have a group dinner on Saturday nite. Any volunteers to
manage this event?
If you want to go, please send me a check for $50 per person IMMEDIATELY.
This is the only way to hold space - period. I will open the trip to more
people

Please note the fine print:
This is not a club trip of any kind but it is also not a public offering.
Thus I am forced to add the following: NO ONE accepts any liability of any
sort for you or any loss or injury you might suffer on this trip. “Skiing is
a dangerous sport…” yada, yada, yada. You are also responsible for any
breakage or damage you might cause to the house and contents and you are
expected to replace anything you damage.
All of this is common sense but it needs to be said up front.
If you know of other people who might want to go on this trip, please email
or call me rather than forwarding this email so I have some idea what's
going on.
The trip will cancel if we do not reach a breakeven by Jan. 1st.

Hello everyone,

One way or another I have probably told all of you that there will not be a
DSC Garnet Hill ski trip this year. However, we found another ski house and
thus I am organizing an XC trip for February. This is not a Danbury Ski Club
trip; it's just a group of friends going skiing.

This trip will be quite different from the Garnet Hill trips because:
* Everyone will be housed in one house.
* The house is located near Mountain Top Cross Country Ski Resort in
Chittenden, VT.
* The house holds about 20 people in 9 bedrooms, has 3 baths and a hot tub.
* We can cook a communal dinner on Saturday nite or go out to eat. Since we
will be in one house, the dinner might be fun.

I need to nail down the dates. The choices are Feb. 2-4 or Feb. 9-11. There
may be a possibility to extend either weekend into Monday.

Because of the tighter quarters, we're limiting the trip to adult people
only.

Cost will be determined by how many people go. I have not contacted Mountain
Top for trail fees (their web site www.mountaintopinn.com is “minimal”).
Cost for housing alone will be about $50 per person.

Please reply to this email with your preference for dates and whether you
can go on your non-preferred weekend. Send me a reply even if you cannot go
so I can cross you off the list.
