Fleck Stone paint for interior   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #197 of 530 |
The interior of my Spyder was scratched and sun damaged badly. I got
the idea to sand the parts and repair the cracks with epoxy. The parts
turned out ok, but using only interior paint would not cover the
imperfections caused by age and wear. While at the hardware, I saw the
Fleck Stone textured paint and decided to try it to cover my interior
parts. It worked very well! Not only did it cover the scratches, it
helped blend in the seams where the interior parts go together. I
really like the outcome. If your interior is in bad shape, give the
texture paints a try. They come in lots of colors and textures. I
found that the paint adheres best to sanded and primered parts.
Washing with paint thinner alone let the paint crack when parts were
flexed during installation. I had to redo some parts that I had only
washed with thinner. I will post pictures in my folder.
