From what I remember, Holley powervalves should be only 2 inches
below what you idle at. This would put you at 125 or so. Also
sounds like you need more fuel with larger jets. I do remember I
could not get a powervalve low enough for a 327 with a roller cam in
it. I had an 850 CFM double pumper. Everyone said it was too much
for the 327. I blocked off the powervalve and jetted the secondaries
8 numbers richer to make up for it. 78's in front and 88´s in back.
Mileage was terrible, but I wasn't after mileage. Ran mid 12's in a
73 Camaro.
