Re: [haylecanoeclub] Truro to Loe Beach, Sunday 14th June
Hi Richard
Thanks for organising the paddle today, we enjoyed it very much. Think Philip found the Canadian harder work than he is used to.
Unfortunately we did notpick up Philips spray deck, hopefully its mixed up with the club ones but if abyone else says they have one its a Palm Sport R4 size s/m if anyone says they have one.
Thanks again
Charlie

Morning all.
The trip on Sunday will be from Boscawen Park, Truro, down to Loe Beach, perhaps 5 miles at a push. We will meet at 9am, with a view to being on the water, with 'shuttle' completed, for 10 - 10.15am. High tide is 10.17, but is a neap 5.7m, so there won't be a great deal of water up there.
The lunch-stop will be at Tolvern, so please bring a flask of hot tea and a light lunch, kept in waterproof bags. Those who wish could get themselves a pint in the Smugglers Tavern. (Please be sure you pick up all your litter afterwards).
Expected time of arrival at Loe Beach should not be later than 3pm.
If you plan to attend, please let me know as I will be loading the trailer (and cajoling others to carry boats!) on Saturday evening. I know I have a certain number of boats set aside, but know we will need more than those few!).
Hope to hear from you soon..
Richard
PS Directions to Boscawen Park..
Head to Truro and keep going through, down the steep hill til you pass 'Tesco's' roundabout. Continue to the next 'police station' roundabout and take the 4th exit towards Malpas, down past the Radio Cornwall offices. Continue past the office blocks on right hand side keep going until you reach a poor excuse for a mini-roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout and continue to the car park by the tennis courts, which i think is a free car park..
