I was out yesterday with friends from Sweden who are staying in
Waikiki. They could not believe how stupid the Ala Wai Bike Lane
is. I did not point it out to them, they spotted it right away and
complained to me about what idiots Americans must be to put in such a
facility. It was completely obvious to them just how dangerous the
facility is. This from people who live in a country where over 20%
of the trips are by bicycle.
