Dear Duane fellow velocipedists~
As originator of the Wed. mornin' Bicycle/Breakfast (B/B) @ Kaka'ako Kitchen in Ward Centre, I carried the torch for over a year ~ I did this each and every Wed. morning (ceptin' for the week I spent in jail for ridin' my bicycle on the sidewalk) ~ and much effort was exerted in sending out messages of such each week, and phoning people, and word-of-mouth ~ but none of these efforts could overcome the Polynesian-paralysis and apathy which seems to run deep here in the islands ~ some Wednesdays would find myself and just one other (sometimes you Duane or else one from the core group of Jan, Gus, Chris, Ed, Jim Carlson, Jim Facette, or Tom Papandrew ~ and my hat goes off to each of you)...
And so I finally caved-in and cut it loose ~ I heard after that, from several people, that if we resinstated it as a Bicycle/Lunch, or a Bicycle Pau-Hana at the end of a work day or Friday, they might be more interested and more available ~ I've recently thought about doing just that and so it is interesting that this message would find its way to me...
Warmest regards ~Edward/ Mo'PoB (More People on Bikes)~

Linda,
I've been so caught-up raising donations for my upcoming ride in the
American Diabetes Associations "Tour de Cure" that I've neglected
this Group. I'm sorry.
Truth is that "Bicycles & Breakfast" has been inactive for some time,
due to nonattendance. The page for it was removed from the Critical
Mass Honolulu website.
Personally, I've always believed that the B&B should have been held
on a weekend, rather than a weekday. This would have been more
convenient for people going to work or school.
