For the first time in its annual International TT Open, the club of US Baume-les-Dames (Franche-Comté, east of France) organises a hardbat serie, that will actually be the main serie of the tournament, with interesting prizes (for a hardbat event in France) : 160 € ($250) for the winner, 80 € ($125) for the runner-up, and 40 € ($62.50) for the half-finalists.
They expect players from France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and maybe other countries. Jean-Michel Carquin, the #1 in the future french hardbat ranking, will be there. Jean-Michel is N° 240 in french "sponge" ranking (around 2400/2500 in US rating I think). There will also be other players with a french 1800/1900 rating (around 2200 in US one) or more.
