I DVRd the show and was very disappointed in seeing the great guy take one hit of the hard bat and sending the cigarette flying.  Since David Letterman responded to Matthew Broderick's comment about Ping Pong by saying it was good exercise it would have been a heck of a lot more interesting to see some hitting back and forth and perhaps some tips from the great guy (MR).

 

I am looking forward to the Olympics when (hopefully) there will be some games to watch.
