Re: 1st Hardbat Tournament of Flines-lez-Raches (north of France)

Well, there are around 180000 licenced TT players in France, the number
is more or less stable since several years. In France we have 2
categories of licences : the "promotionnelle" (promotional) licence, for
the recreational players, and the "traditionnelle" (traditional)
licence, for the competition players.
Some clubs are open on evening from monday to friday, the most are open
2 or 3 evenings a week, and generally the competitions take place on
friday evening or during the week-end.
About the best club in France, it depends on what you mean by "best". If
you mean the french Champion, for the moment it's Hennebont, in Britanny
(Bretagne, west of France), but Levallois (Gatien's club, near Paris)
will certainly be Champion this season. if you mean the club with the
most players, I don't know exactly, maybe the VGA Saint Maur, near Paris
(268 licenced players in the "competition" category).
