I don't mind the overlap with sponge since I only play HB. However,
there are some things I just don't understand.
Rant to follow:
I realize I have been away from this sport for a bit, but I'm ready
once again to kick butt and take names.
So, $15.00 for a t-shirt? I can enter a local run for about $20.00
and get a free t-shirt. Why can't the USATT give all participants a
t-shirt? Christ, $95.00 for one event ought to get you something.
If I go, I'll be in 3 events. Surely, 3 or 4 of the 135 can go to a
t-shirt.
$5.00 registration fee? What is the $135.00 for? Heck, use the
registration fee to give me a t-shirt.
What's with Vegas? In July? Are they looking to see if heat stroke
and table tennis go hand in hand?
What is the point of having an age limited event if you eliminate
half of the upper age from participating? A 9 year old born on
12/31/07 is just as much a 9 year old as the 1/1/98 kid. The same
with all of the age groups. Seems like 7/5/97 would be the correct
date to use. And I pity the players that turn 40, 50, 60, etc. in
January through June of this year.
Well, enough for now.
