Saturday night at Shippensburg University Invitational, Terrance won an
easy decision over a fighter from Lockhaven University. Unfortunately
for Tommy after a hard fought 3 rounds the decision went to the fighter
from Army.
Hi Fred, Wow... thanks for checking up on me! My shoulder is still sore. I have
not been able to make class because of the job. I'm flying the 31st, 1st and
2nd, so I won't be able to attend the fight this weekend. I really wanted to be
there to support Thomas and Terrence. Please give them my best, I'll be thinking
about them. I'll see you guys soon. Once again, thanks!
Keep um up, Jay

we started with calisthenics then worked to technical aspects of the
boxing form. I had Terrence and Thomas jump rope while we worked. They
finished with a mock 3 round right in preperation for their fights on
saturday. We finished with some ground sprawling
coming up on Terrence and Thomas' fight on saturday, the class was
focused on more technical type drills. We worked movement inside of
the handpad drills and we finished with some light endurance.
we worked more of the endurance today, due to the large size.
we started with calisthenics, then on to shadow boxing then
ground fighting and ended with ab work
Class started with shadow boxing and warm-up. Fighters went through
each punch defense with returns (jab catch and return, perry cross and
combo, duck and roll of hook with return combo etc.) I did hand pad
drills for the first half of class with Terrance and Tommy during the
second half, to get them ready for their fights on the 31st.

we hit every aspect of fighting today.
We started with a run and then ab work.
On to partner drills focusing on foot work and movement.
We ended with power punches with partners.
Thanks for the encouragement. Actually you guys make it easy to push
all of you. It's easy to work with fighters that truly want to be here
and have the hunger and will to succeed.
Fred your kickin' our tails... nice work ! The more you push the more we try.
Outstanding as always, Jay

we worked a mixed bag tonight, working all aspects of boxing.
Power, speed and endurance
We started with the run and ab work. Then into partner drills.
We finished with power and leap frog.
Class started with the usual light jog warm up. We then shadow boxed,
which lead into correcting footwork. From this we had a very techniqual
class that consisted of proper punching form, main focus on weight
distribution, and turning out our heels with the punch to gain power.
We also focused on foot movement in all directons. Very informative
class for everyone.
tough one today.
We started with stretching today.
2 rounds of jump rope to warm up
15 minutes of calisthenics
then 3 rounds as you would spar in an amateur match, with partners
the next 3 rounds the other partner goes
we ended the class with 2 rounds of pad hitting pushing back,
and marching forward. I'll be sore and tired tomorrow.

Thanks Fred. I think it is because of your passion to instruct. It
translates well. Once again great class. See you Thursday.
