Class started with a hot 2 mile run, after which we did 3 rounds of
jump rope, warming up punches during breaks. Then 2 people did
medicine ball work in the ring that consisted of one person sliding
back and forth between two corners while the other person threw them
the medicine ball. After 5 times to the corner the person dropped and
did 5 push ups. This continued for the round then they switched. The
third round they stayed on opposite sides of the ring and threw the
medicine ball back and forth while moving laterally the entire round.
Outside the ring one person would laterally jump over a heavy bag
laying on the flooor 10 times then punch 10 straight punches into
their partners gloves, for one round then they switched. We got in
over 20 rounds of bag work focusing mainly on moving our feet while
boxing and lateral movement. Due to the heat the technique broke down
quickly but everyone really pushed themselves through the drills. The
last rounds focused on speed endurance, and power. 3 people did a 5
minute drill that consisted of carrying a 75 lbs. heavy bag 40 yards,
dropped the bag, then did 10 pushups, while the next person carried
the bag. We finished with ab-work. Tonight everyone pushed through
the heat and hummidity to get a really exhausting but benneficial
workout. If you are coming to class tomorrow remember to bring plenty
