Re: handcyclists It's been awhile.......

Brock,

Good to hear you have healed.

Our next event is Summer Splash at ElDorado Lake the weekend of Aug. 17th and
18th. This event has a fee of $20 per participant and $5 per guest. The fee
covers, handcycle clinic, boating, skiing, eating, campfire and concert, t-shirt
and of course camping out in tents and cots.

Friday night dinner (starting at 5pm) and handcycle clinic sponsored by WSI
cyclists. www.wcsports.org (handcycles available for test rides)
Saturday water events start at 10 am. 2 meals.

PLEASE RSVP TO barney_hoss@... ASAP!!!!!!

We should be having another clinic in the fall and again in Januarry (WSU
indoor track) at our annual meeting.

May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th is the tenative date for some great racing. The 2008
Wichita Cyclefest.

Hey everyone and hi to all those I have not met yet. I't been an
interesting 18 months.

First, I would not recommend rupturing a Distal Bicep Tendon to
anyone. long long months of gradual rebuilding post surgery, sudden
attacks of stiffness and creepy "catching" sensations, numbness,
fatigue where I just can't do anything, etc. Not to mention the
expense, even with insurance the deductables and co-pays were
killers. By Feb I was ready to start talking to James again when
Warren's accident and passing knocked the wind out of me.

Well I'm stronger, bigger and more powerful now, thanks in part to a
post surgery release of growth hormone. So I reconnected briefly with
Seth two weeks ago, now it's time to say hi again to you all and let
you know I'm still around.

Still cycle-less due to the surgery and rehab costs. My knees and
hips have stabilized for the time being. I still sound like rice
crispies from time to time tho. But my upperbody is HUGE - think Ian
Marsden with thicker semi functional legs and more wrinkles. SO I'm
thinking trunk powered, maybe knee bike which we know is Seths
favorite. Anyone know anything about this Draft handcycle from the UK?

Anywho, I'm happy to be back. James, when is the next handcycle event
in Wichita?

Safe cycling

Brock in Oklahoma City.
