The Schmicking handbikes are, without a doubt, the nicest thing on
three wheels (including ALL trikes). For Schmicking, maximum
performance is ALWAYS the bottom line. They are always working on
ways to squeeze out more performance. Basically, everything they
build (HC, B-ball, everyday...) is made without compromise.
Unfortunately, it makes them quite costly and slow to produce.
Basically, Schmicking's equipment is for those who are willing to wait
and spend a little more for maximum performance. There's nothing else
like 'em. As soon as I save up enough money, I'll be ordering one.
How is the new Freedom Ryder? I've only heard/seen very little about
it. It seems like quite a radical change from their other stuff.
