COLD WEATHER HANDCYCLING   Message List

What you guys talking about? It has been great handcycling here in
Monterey California. Short sleeves and sunscreen on turkey day and
again last weekend!

Riding after work on weekdays does take a bit more planning. Gets
dark early this time of year.

Have to remember to charge up the lights. It is not cool to swap to
L.E.D. reserve lights during a ride. They are not nearly as bright
as the rechargable halogen. There is a good after dark route here -
mostly via paved bike trail - to Castroville and back. 30 miles
round trip without much risk of being flattened by motorists.

Now if I just knew how to pick up some speed. I am taking over three
hours to finish the 30 miles.

Looks like we might be in for a spot of rain - now that could could
put a damper on things.

Regards,
Wayne

Sounds like perfect CA weather. Can't beat San Diego for the best weather in the nation. Where it is always 70 degrees. I would not like Christmas Day around...

It hasn't been above freezing in Kansas City for a couple of days. I'd take 50's or 60's. Denny, I'll be in Colo Springs/Canon City Area during Christmas and...
