Re: handcyclists INDOOR trainer

I use a CycleOps fluid fluid trainer with my XLT Pro, you don't have to
remove the leg mountings on the handcycle to do this but you do have to
loosen then and fold them down, out of the way of the trainer so it
engages with the spindle.

In the past I used rollers with a Varna2 as I couldn't find any other
trainer that would fit 20" wheels. You could do this with an XLT Pro and
avoid any work on the handcycle but you will need something to hold the
rear wheels as the oscillation causes the handcycle to ride out of the
rollers. The other problem I found was that you need to concentrate 100%
of the time otherwise you can drift off the rollers and come to a sudden
stop. The CycleOps trainer is much easier to use.

Hope that helps,
