I am just curious.....I am an elite Wheelchair runner and I have also
started handcycling in the last year, (mainly to get better in the
chair) but why do many average handcyclists (or "crank - chair (a
pathetic term attempting to be the synomous with racing chair)) insist
on participating or their participation in RUNNING road races,
marathons, and wheelchair Racing (running) events??? This just seems
silly to me....Although Joe Dowlings recent definition puts Recumbant
bikes, handcycles, everyday chairs, and Racing chairs all in the same
category.....
A Bicycle includes a seat, handle bars, Gears, wheels, and a
chain.....so does a Handcycle (sorry, Crank-Chair)
Racing a wheelchair is the equivilant to running....
Handcycling is the equivilant to Cycling.....
just makes since to me....considering the best handcyclists in the world
agree.....
