Re: [handcycling] Speed on Top End Excelerator

Steve,
Glad to hear you are having a blast.
Top speed? Downhill on my Freedom Ryder 48.6mph, but ran out of gearing at
about 38mph. I believe the more important thing is riding in your skill level,
controlling the speed and riding safely. I am sure there others out there doing
over 50mph!
I was riding with a paralympian wheelchair racer and he was doing over 28 on the
flats on his Shark S handcycle and I am sure he can ride faster. By the way he
dropped me like a rock! The handcycling racers average 20+mph in their races.
Steve where do you live and what type of roads do you ride?
Take a look at our web site: www.handbikeamerica.com
If you have any questions or suggestions contact me. There are also a number of
links on the site you may be interested in.

Hi all,

I have a Top End Excelerator that I am having a blast riding. It has
27 gears. I was wondering what some of the top speeds that have been
achieved by other riders.

Thanks

Steve
