Hey this is from Jake. We will need to get on this. We can also apply
for sponsorship from WSI for entry fee.. It is great the Marathon
organizers welcome us. We should be as quick to enter as we can. They
may need know numbers sooner for our needs(Jenny I know you can't make
this). Mark your calenders for the Wichita Marathon also I'm sure we can
get the guys in KC area down again. Also the river run is open to us in
may and we should attend if at all possible!.
James!
Those of you who have not signed up need to soon!
FYI, Trek of Kansas City is now going to sponsor us. They will be
setting up a tent at the starting line and providing mechanical
help/adjustment ( these guys are good with my Freedom Ryder). They will
also set up at the finish line for shade, drinks etc. They have will be
providing prizes such as a jersey, camelbacks, shirts, helmets, gloves
etc.
Hotels, if anyone is having trouble locating one, let me know. Don't
wait too long, the closer ones are probably being taken up.
KCWRT will provide transportation from the finish line back to your
vehicles at the starting line. We're hopefully going to have a covered
trailer to help out with handcycles. I'll ask James if he's going to
bring his flat bed from Wichita.
If anyone has any questions, or would like anything, give me a buss at
913.488.0402. I'm still trying to get some more prizes and maybe $ to
help with expenses. I'll know more in a few days.
I hope everyone can still come out and play.
